TSUS Launches Online Productivity Dashboard (12/17/12)

(AUSTIN) - The Texas State University System today launched a new online application that allows students, parents, and the public to access information about the university system’s performance in key areas. While much of the data featured in the dashboard is available elsewhere, this new application provides information in a format that is easy to navigate and understand.

“Staying true to concept of a real dashboard, we wanted to create an application that is simple and straight-forward,” said TSUS Chancellor Brian McCall. “Users should be able to find the information they want quickly and easily. At the same time, our dashboard tells a story about our System and the outstanding value it delivers to students and taxpayers.”

The Productivity Dashboard provides system-wide data on 11 key performance measures, including enrollment growth, tuition and fees, the number of degrees awarded, student-to-faculty ratios, and the percentage of graduates employed or continuing their education. Where appropriate, TSUS data are compared to statewide averages.

The dashboard will be enhanced throughout 2013 with the addition of data for specific institutions and demographic groups. The TSUS Productivity Dashboard can be found online at www.tsus.edu/dashboard.

The Texas State University System, based in Austin, is composed of eight institutions: Lamar University; Sam Houston State University; Sul Ross State University; Texas State University; Lamar Institute of Technology; Lamar State College-Orange; Lamar State College-Port Arthur; and Sul Ross State University Rio Grande College.
