Daniel Harper

Daniel Harper, vice chancellor and chief financial officer, is responsible for the System's financial management, including budget, treasury, debt management and risk management functions. He also assists the System with budget and policy issues before the Texas Legislature.

Prior to his arrival at TSUS in 2012, he spent eight years in the Texas Senate Finance Committee, focusing on education-related budget and policy.

He received his B.A. in Economics from Austin College and his M.B.A in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is the proud father of three children.
