J. Cletus Bianchi joined the Texas State University System Foundation's Board of Directors as advisory director in 2012. He previously served as the Foundation’s executive director. A self-employed business owner and rancher, Bianchi has spent many years involved in rural economic development, on community civic boards, and managing an education foundation that provides scholarships for students from area high schools.
Bianchi, his wife Daphne, and their two daughters live on their family ranch in south Texas with a menagerie of cattle, chickens, ducks, cats and dogs. An avid hunter and fisherman, he most enjoys introducing kids to the outdoors. He has contributed articles and columns to regional magazines and newspapers since 1999.
Bianchi earned his BBA from The University of Texas in 1987 and his MBA from Southwest Texas State University in 1994. He held private- and public-sector positions in Austin prior to pursuing self-employment in 1997.
