Trisha Pollard

Trisha PollardTrisha Pollard was appointed to a six-year term on the Board of Regents by Governor Rick Perry in March 2007. She has served as vice chair of the board and been involved in numerous board committees and campus initiatives.

She is vice president of Pollard Development, L.P. During her earlier career in the natural gas industry, she was assistant general counsel at Kinder Morgan, Inc.; vice president for legal and human resources at Penn Union Energy Services; and an attorney at Transco Gas Marketing Company. In previous professional work, she served as manager, gas purchases and in other business positions at Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corporation.

In 2003, Governor Perry appointed her to a three-year term as a public member of the Texas One-Call Board, where she chaired the Compliance and Oversight Committee. She has been active in numerous community, professional, and civic organizations, including service as a director of the Sam Houston State University Alumni Association; chairman of the Building and Standards Commission for the City of Bellaire; the Houston Bar Association, where she chaired the Oil and Gas Section; the City of Bellaire’s Parks and Recreation Advisory Board; and foreman of the Harris County Grand Jury for three terms where, under her leadership, the grand jury set a Harris County record for handling the greatest number of cases during a term. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas. 
 
Pollard received her B.B.A. from Sam Houston State University and her J.D. from the South Texas College of Law in Houston. She resides in Bellaire with her husband, Randy, a C.P.A., and is a Presbyterian elder and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Houston.
