TSUS Foundation

The Texas State University System Foundation, Inc., is a public nonprofit corporation that provides private financial support to the System and its member institutions. Established by the Board of Regents in 1977, the Foundation is governed by an independent board of directors and provides funding for an array of programs across the System, including:

  • Texas State University - Endowed Fellowship in the Liberal Arts ($1,000,000)
  • Sam Houston State University - College of Health Sciences ($901,000)
  • Lamar University - L. DeWayne Layfield Scholarship ($1,000,000)
  • Sul Ross State University - Jackson Field Improvements ($1,258,000)
  • The Texas State University System - O. Henry Hall Restoration ($1,107,000)
  • Alan Dreeben-Grow Your Own Scholarship
  • Edmund P. Kuempel Scholarship
  • Regents' Awards recognizing outstanding faculty, students and staff

The Foundation Gala

The TSUS Foundation Gala, held every other year during the Texas Legislative Session, raises funds to support the Foundation's scholarship programs. The 2019 Gala will be held February 6th at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center in Austin. Please contact Mike Wintemute to learn more about sponsorship opportunities.
