TSUS Board of Regents Elects Tom Long as Vice Chairman (05/29/26)

(AUSTIN) – The Texas State University System Board of Regents today elected Tom Long of Dallas as vice chairman of the board. The unanimous votes occurred during the board's quarterly meeting in Austin.

Tom Long, first appointed to the Board of Regents in 2023, serves as co-chief executive officer of Energy Transfer, one of the largest and most diversified energy infrastructure companies in North America. A graduate of Lamar University, Long previously served as Energy Transfer’s chief financial officer and also serves on the board of directors of Energy Transfer LP. He is chairman of the board of USA Compression Partners, LP, and serves on the boards of Texas Capital Bancshares, Inc., the Texas Stock Exchange and the Permian Strategic Partnership.
