Texas State University System Chancellor Brian McCall today announced the appointment of John C. Hayek, Ph.D., as interim president of Lamar State College Port Arthur beginning January 1, 2026. Dr. Hayek, who serves as vice chancellor for academic and health affairs at TSUS, will succeed Dr. Betty Reynard, who announced her retirement earlier this week.
