Malú González

Malú González is the director of board operations and external relations for The Texas State University System. Previously, she was the assistant director of events for The Texas Tribune, where she oversaw the production and execution strategy of all Tribune events and live programs. González also served as a senior events manager, events manager, and events fellow for The Texas Tribune from 2019 through 2022. Prior to that, she was the first events team lead for The Daily Texan, worked as a business news reporter for the McCombs Center for Global Business, and co-founded 'Save the Drop,' an organization that promotes water conservation. González received a bachelor's degree in Corporate Communication from UT-Austin. She is fluent in Spanish.
