Regents' Awards

The TSUS Foundation administers four award programs to recognize outstanding faculty, staff, and students across the System:

• The Regents' Professor Award is TSUS's highest faculty honor, conferred upon professors who demonstrate excellence and exemplary achievement in teaching, research and publication, and service.
• The Regents' Student Scholar Award recognizes at least one outstanding student from a TSUS member institution. Student Scholars are nominated by institution presidents and selected by the chancellor based on their outstanding academic achievement and scholarship, leadership abilities, and contributions to the institution and their community. 
• The Regents' Teacher Award recognizes exceptional teachers from TSUS member institutions. Regents' Teachers are selected based on their outstanding performance as educators, contributions to the development of courses, and use of innovative teaching methods, among other criteria.
• The Regents' Staff Excellence Award recognizes staff who excel in six areas: commitment to the university and its mission; job competency; collegiality; duration of service; community involvement; and exceptional achievement.
