About

The Texas State University System considers art a valuable physical asset that illustrates growth and powers education.

TSUS codified its commitment to public art in 2008 by allocating one percent of construction costs of each major project to the acquisition of artwork.

The Committee on Public Art selects each commission through a competitive process that allows for the voices of many to be considered.  The Committee comprises faculty, staff, community members, artists, visual art professionals and students each with unique subject matter expertise.
